I want to share with you two transformations that have brought me here.
The first one was my shift into management.
Most of my life I believed I was not a person who was cut out for management.
I believed I was too timid to lead and the idea of enforcing rules and regulations made me very uncomfortable.
I had never considered pursuing leadership opportunities until a co-worker of mine told me she thought that with my standards, values, and work ethic I would be great at it.
I decided to give it a try and it turns out not only was I great at it, I loved it!

After several years in different management roles, I no longer saw myself as incapable of leading and managing a team. I saw myself as a problem solver, an organizer, a person who knew how to bring people together for one mission.
I experienced a dramatic change in my self concept because the beliefs about what I thought I was capable of had completely shifted.
If I had known then what I know now, I would have been able to see that the only thing holding me back was the fear of stress and doubt in my abilities.

Which leads me to my second transformation,
when I discovered life coaching.
I learned that the fear of feeling certain emotions is usually
the thing blocking us from success.

For example:
People do not ask the person they like on a date because they are afraid of feeling rejected
They don't get on stage and perform because they are afraid of feeling humiliation
They do not ask for a raise because they doubt their worth
People don't change their lifestyle because they feel stuck or hopeless
They do not set bigger goals because they doubt their ability to achieve them and fear disappointment
People do not ask the person they like on a date because they are afraid of feeling rejected

Hopelessness, disappointment, rejection, humiliation, doubt are all powerful emotions that can stop us DEAD in our tracks if we allow them to. So much of what holds us back from achieving what we want is our ability to grapple with and understand emotions like these.
I am here now because I want to empower my clients with the skill of managing their mind and choosing belief systems with intention.
I want them to have the self-awareness of what is holding them back so they can create these shifts in their self concept on purpose.
I know that when you build your emotional intelligence your fear of negative emotions will slowly dissipate and your tolerance to put yourself in positions of growth will increase expediently.
